Dwarka is an ancient city in the northwestern Indian state of Gujarat (Jamnagar District) . Dwarka is situated along the bank of the Gomti river. Shree Krishna Dwarka Nagri is also known as a Hindu pilgrimage site. Dwarka Nagri of Gujarat is the kingdom of the Lord Shree Krishna. In ancient times the name of the Dwarka was Anarta. Dwarka is one of the oldest cities in India among the seven cities. Its other name are Gomti Dwarka, Okha-Mandal, Kewasthali, Waridurga, and many more. Its belief that Dwarka was drowned six times in the sea. There are many famous places in Dwarka Nagri to visit.

Dwarkadhish Temple:-

Another name of the Dwarkadish temple is Jagat Mandir, the architecture of this temple is in Chalukya style, and it is devoted to Lord Krishna. The Dwarkadish temple is a five-storied building and constructed by the sand and limestone. This temple was built by the great-grandson of Lord Shree Krishna, Vajranabh and it is more than 2200 years old.


The Dwarkadish temple is 3 km far from the Dwarka railway station. This temple is famous for the flag worship, which is changed four times a day and known as the Dhwaja.

Gomti Ghat:-

The distance from Dwarka railway station to Gomti ghat is 3 km because it situated behind the Dwarkadish Temple. Gomti River is the tributary of holy Ganga, and it is also a popular place to visit in Dwarka.


Rukmini Temple:-

The Rukmini temple is devoted to the wife of Lord Krishna, Rukmini. It located in the Okha highway, Dwarka, the distance from the Dwarka Railway Station to Rukimi temple, which is 5 km and 3km from the Dwarkadish temple.


It is an ancient temple of Rukmini, an incarnation of the Goddess Lakshmi. Its more than 2500 years old and situated on the bank of the Bhagirathi river.

Nageshwar Jyotirlinga Temple:-

The Nageshwar Jyotirlinga Temple is the temple of Lord Shiva, and its distance from the Dwarka is 15 km. It located in the Nageshwar Village Gujarat. Its other name is Nagnath temple, and it is one of the oldest temples.


Iskon Temple:-

The Iskon temple in Dwarka, Gujarat, is devoted to Lord Krishna and his wife Devi Rukmini so it is also known as the Sri Rukminidevi Dwarkadish Dham. It located in the market area.


The Iskon temple was built in 1996 by HH Mahavishnu Goswami Maharaj, and Iskon temples found in many parts of the world.

Beyt Dwarka:-

Beyt Dwarka is an island located 33 km away from the Dwarka railway station. Beyt Dwarka is one of the famous places to visit in Dwarka. Before the development of the Okha port, it is the main port of Gujarat. The Beyt island is also known as the Shankhodhar.


Dwarka Beach:-

Dwarka Beach is popularly known for its turquoise water and white sand. It is one of the famous beaches in Gujarat and the tourist place to visit.


Dwarka Beach is also 1 km from the Dwarkadish temple. There is also a lighthouse on the beach, which constructed in 1962.
