Rishikesh is a famous tourist destination among tourists. It is also known as the “yoga capital of the world”, where people come from all around the world to practice yoga and seek spirituality. 2. Lakshman Jhula, Rishikesh

Lakshman Jhula in Rishikesh is among one of the top destinations. According to people’s beliefs, lord Lakshman crossed the Ganga River using a jute rope in this place. Now there is a bridge that was built in 1939. The length of the bridge is 450 feet and it is 70 feet above the Ganga River. You can find lots of cafes near the bridge. 

3. Ram Jhula, Rishikesh

The top three preferred routes for river rafting are Brahmapuri to Rishikesh, Shivpuri to Rishikesh, and Kaudiyals to Rishikesh. The length of the Brahmapuri to Rishikesh route is about 9 kilometers which takes around one and half hours to complete the rafting. The Shivpuri to Rishikesh route is about  16 kilometers long and takes 3.5 hours to complete the rafting. The Kaudiyala to Rishikesh rafting route is about 35 Kilometers long and takes around 8 hours to complete the rafting. 

5. Neelkanth Mahadev Temple, Rishikesh

The Neelkanth Mahadev Temple in Rishikesh has great religious significance. According to the people’s beliefs, the temple is constructed in the same place where the venom called ‘Halahala’ was consumed by the Lord Shiva.  Hindu mythology says that the venom was extracted when the Devas (gods) and the Asuras (demons) were churning the ocean to obtain amrita (elixir of life).
